SPACES OF RESILIENCE 2.0 – OPEN CALL FOR LOCAL INITIATIVES, ASSOCIATIONS, CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANIZATIONS, CITIZEN GROUPS, AND INDIVIDUALS

SPACES OF RESILIENCE 2.0

OPEN CALL FOR LOCAL INITIATIVES, ASSOCIATIONS, CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANIZATIONS, CITIZEN GROUPS, AND INDIVIDUALS

KROKODIL Association invites all interested civil and local initiatives, civil society organizations, citizen groups, associations, activists, and individuals who are active in changing their communities and contributing to the development of a democratic and better society, to apply for an open call under the project Spaces of Resilience 2.0: Program for Strengthening Local Initiatives.

Our aim is to offer a unique platform to twenty organizations or activists who are changing their local community, that will help them develop and strengthen their capacities, and to provide them with a physical space and technical support for meetings, public events, promotions, recording of radio shows/podcasts, workshops and other activities. Over the course of a year, the selected organizations and individuals will go through a series of trainings and workshops with mentors. They will learn about various successful practices and acquire practical knowledge and the skills necessary to carry out their activities.

The training sessions will cover four thematic areas:

  1. Organizational development and advocacy (strategic planning, strengthening skills and familiarization with tools that are key to initiating changes in laws and regulations),
  2. Programme capacities (project writing, programme design, monitoring and evaluation),
  3. Communication skills and PR (public relations skills, communication strategies, risk PR, storytelling, etc.),
  4. Advocacy and networking capacities (advocacy and networking skills in processes that help change public policies).

The training sessions will be conducted by the end of July, and the final project proposals of the selected candidates must be summited by the beginning of September 2025. During the first week of September, a final event will be organized during which one project proposal will be selected to receive financial support (a grant of 5000 EUR) from the European Fund for the Balkans. The selected initiatives, organizations, and individuals will vote for the best project. The KROKODIL Association and the European Fund for the Balkans will also have one vote each. The selected project must be realized by the end of 2025.

The goal of the Spaces of Resilience 2.0 project is to help selected organizations or individuals further develop and strengthen their capacities in order to increase and strengthen the involvement of the public in the processes of advocacy, decision-making and democratization, the struggle for human rights, influence on the creation of public policies, and the promotion of cultural diversity and regional cooperation.
