16 Jul Why Do You Say Love When You Mean War?” – Special Gathering at the XVI KROKODIL Festival
At the XVI KROKODIL Festival, a special gathering was held for participants and speakers from previous debates organized in eight cities across Serbia. This ninth and special gathering aimed to summarize impressions and review the conclusions of debates on the hidden influences driving the rise of violence in our society, with a particular focus on violence spreading through political circles and systematically legitimizing far-right ideologies to strengthen nationalist beliefs. The gathering allowed for a deeper analysis and reflection on the topics covered during the series of debates in the eight cities. The debate was organized into two rounds, featuring prominent historians, activists, and artists:
First Round: Dolores Milošev Erdeg, Yasserstain, Klara Hrvanović, and Pavle Cicvarić
Second Round: Smiljana Tucakov, Dubravka Stojanović, Jasminka Petrović, and Tamara Marković
The debate was moderated by Milena Berić, a member of the KROKODIL Association’s Board. After each round of discussion, there were informal chats where the audience had the opportunity for one-on-one conversations with the debate participants.
