On the second day, the KROKODIL festival offers a rich and diverse program that will take place in three different zones in front of the Museum of Yugoslavia: the Kids Zone, the Debate Zone, and the main stage in the amphitheater in front of the museum.

The Kids Zone offers workshops and activities for children of various ages as well as for adults who enjoy creative workshops. These include embroidery workshops, literary workshops, art workshops, circus skills workshops, activities with therapy dogs, and theater plays for children. The Debate Zone is dedicated to discussions, film screenings, talks, and workshops, including a workshop on citizens’ rights in Serbia today titled “Right(S) Therapy,” one-on-one conversations with prominent festival authors, and two rounds of debate on the hidden influence on the rise of violence in our society titled “Why Do You Say Love When You Mean War?” On the Main Stage, we will host excellent local, regional, and international writers: Filip Grujić, Arnon Grunberg, and Nikola Madžirov. We will also talk with historian Dubravka Stojanović, followed by a mini concert by Jelena Petošević.

KIDS ZONE (PARK IN FRONT OF THE MUSEUM OF YUGOSLAVIA)

• 10:00 AM: Panel discussion “The Future of Literary Residencies and Their Role in the Publishing Business.” Participants: Dora Šustić, German Gacio Baquiola, Nevena Milojević, and Maja Ručević. Moderator: Maja Vuković Biserko. The discussion will be held in English.
• 10:30 AM: Inclusive art workshop: Petrykivka painting (decorative painting on everyday objects) for ages 4 to 9.
• 11:30 AM: Literary-art program “Wandering, Reading, Drawing, and Questioning” for children aged 7 to 11. Led by our prominent writer Jasminka Petrović, featuring three significant international authors and illustrators of contemporary children’s and youth literature: Merce Gali (Spain), Desa Muck (Slovenia), and Arianna Papini (Italy). In addition to reading excerpts from their works, they will answer children’s questions, and the children will have the opportunity to bring characters from the presented works to life through drawing, acting, or other forms.
• 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM: Circus skills workshops: from hula hooping and balancing to juggling. Workshops are intended for children aged 7 to 15.
• 1:00 PM: Embroidery workshop for adults “BezVez” in collaboration with Marina Čabrilo.
• 2:00 PM: Group activities for children aged 4 to 10 with a therapy dog, in collaboration with the Center for PET Therapy.
• 4:00 PM: Children’s play “The Princess and the Pea,” in collaboration with the Touring Theater “Ćira.” The play is for ages 2 to 12.

DEBATE ZONE (PARK IN FRONT OF THE MUSEUM OF YUGOSLAVIA)

• 11:00 AM: Workshop on citizens’ rights in Serbia today titled “Right(S) Therapy” in collaboration with the Belgrade Center for Human Rights.
• 1:00 PM: One-on-one conversation with Mathias Enard, hosted by Igor Štiks. Language: English.
• 2:00 PM: Screening of the documentary film: “Stolen Children of Ukraine,” ARTE.tv. Duration: 19:31 min. Language: English with subtitles in the common language (BCMS).
• 2:30 PM: One-on-one conversation with Andriy Lyubka, hosted by Vladimir Arsenijević. Language: the common language (BCMS).
• 3:30 PM: First round of the debate “Why Do You Say Love When You Mean War?” with participants Yasserstain, Klara Hrvanović, Pavle Cicvarić, Dolores Milošev Erdeg, and Tamara Marković. Participants in the second round are Smiljana Tucakov, Dubravka Stojanović, and Jasminka Petrović. Discussions are moderated by Milena Berić. After each round, there will be separate chat rooms with individual participants. Language: the common language (BCMS).

MAIN STAGE (AMPHITHEATER IN FRONT OF THE MUSEUM OF YUGOSLAVIA)

• The famous stage “in the fountain” at the amphitheater in front of the Museum of Yugoslavia is reserved for literary performances by Filip Grujić, a young writer who became a bestseller with his novel “And Then Again, From the Beginning,” Andriy Lyubka, Ukrainian writer, translator, and activist, Arnon Grunberg, Dutch writer known for his novel “Tirza,” and Nikola Madžirov, poet and translator from North Macedonia.
• Historian Dubravka Stojanović will join us for a sofa interview.
• Jelena Petošević will perform a mini concert, for a musical interlude between talks and readings,.
• Our dynamic duo Mima and Daško will guide you through the program.
