Third Evening Of KROKODIL Festival

Third Evening Of KROKODIL Festival

The third and final evening of KROKODIL festival, scheduled for June 23, begins in a special way with one of the most successful and spectacular literary performances in the region, “PičPrič”, which gathers a large number of female authors who, with their stories, humorously and directly break down patriarchal value systems. The coordinator of this event is the Macedonian writer Rumena Bužarovska, and the storytellers will be Jana Jakimovska, Lila Milić, Jelena Veljača, Mima Simić, Markiza de Sada, and Jelisaveta Blagojević. Don’t miss the opportunity to hear them live! Festival KROKODIL program download HERE

After the “PičPrič” performance, the audience will have the opportunity to enjoy the performances of the great Iraqi writer Hassan Blasim, who due to his views is currently residing in Finland, and Dora Šustić, a young Croatian writer who has drawn attention with her debut novel “Dogs,” the novel of a generation of millennials hungry for freedom, who believe that everything is possible until the harshness of liberal capitalism reduces them to work in poor conditions where there is no place for the ideals of the young.

Joining us for a sofa-interview will be Feđa Štukan, author of the regional bestseller “Blank,” where he openly wrote about his problems with drugs and alcohol, as well as his horrific experiences from the wars of the nineties. His honesty in describing those struggles has elicited various reactions from the public, from support to criticism for the controversial content.

You can also expect a mini-concert by Ane Paška, whose performance will provide a special tone to the end of the festival.

The program will be hosted by Mima Simić and Daško Milinović.

Tickets for the evening programs can be purchased through the GIGS TIX sales network, online via the website new.gigstix.com, as well as at the KROKODIL Center (weekdays from 12 to 8 pm) and at the festival box office one hour before the start of the program.
