Early on the morning of December 23rd, our colleague Milan headed out to Nikola Tesla Airport in Belgrade with driver Raša to wait for a family of ten—five adults and five children—who barely managed to evacuate from Gaza and fly to Serbia via Egypt.

Ines is in the sixth month of pregnancy, without any specialist medical check-ups in the last three months, while Noha came alone with three small children because her husband was denied entry into Egypt last Friday. He returned to Gaza City today to be close to his parents, whom he cannot reach due to the constant bombing.

All ten of them are currently staying with their brother H. in a one-bedroom apartment in a Belgrade suburb. They are worried, scared, traumatized, but also happy because they heard that their parents are still alive and because the children were able to play carefree in a local park for the first time in a long while.

To ensure them a dignified life in our city for the next six months, which includes apartment rent, minimal living expenses (food, hygiene, etc.), but also specialist check-ups and childbirth, we need to collect €24,000.

Since all the members of this Palestinian family arrived with just one backpack each, they urgently need warm clothing—from underwear to jackets, sweaters, shoes, towels, and hygiene products.

Take a look at the list below and bring the necessary things (please make sure they are clean and in decent condition) to the KROKODIL Association (Karađorđeva 43, entrance from Male stepenice 1a), and we will urgently forward them to Mahmoud, Rana, Iness, Noha, Riyad, Sabina, Tolina, and others.

Riyad is only 2 years old and needs diapers size 5 and toys.
