14 Jun THE KROKODIL FESTIVAL PROGRAM FOR THURSDAY AND FRIDAY IS MOVED TO THE CULTURAL CENTER OF BELGRADE, THE PROGRAM FOR THE WEEKEND REMAINS IN FRONT OF THE MUSEUM OF YUGOSLAVIA
The festival’s opening ceremony, scheduled for Thursday, as well as the entire program for Friday (day and evening), is moved to the Cultural Center of Belgrade due to unfavourable weather conditions. The program scheduled for Saturday and Sunday will be held in front of the Museum of Yugoslavia, as initially planned.
The official festival opening will take place on Thursday, June 15 at 8 p.m. in the cinema hall of the Cultural Center (Kolarčeva 6). The opening will feature a staged reading of “Urotnici”, a play written by Igor Štiks and Vladimir Arsenijević, directed by Boris Liješević. The reading will be performed by Svetozar Cvetković, Katarina Žutić, Dejan Dedić, and Marko Grabež.
The morning programs in the Pop Zone on Friday, June 16 – Translation Workshop #1: Translating Gender and Translation Workshop #2: The Balkans through the prism of Andriy Lyubka – will be held at the ARTGET Gallery of the Belgrade Cultural Center from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The afternoon programs in the Pop Zone on Friday, June 16 will take place in the foyer in front of the DKC cinema hall. At 2:30 p.m. a talk called “Free the Streets/Free the People,” which is part of the initiative launched by the KROKODIL Association in December last year, will be held. The participants include Jana Danilović, Miloš Janković, Milan Filipović, and Dijana Simić, with Tamara Marković as the moderator. At 4:00 p.m., in the same location, a discussion titled “When we are left excluded,” will be held, with participants Maja Ćurčić, Jasna Bratičević, and Anastasiaa Murdzynska, moderated by Milena Berić and Tamara Marković from the KROKODIL Association.
Creative workshops for children, “Dream up your fairy tale character” and “Bring your plasticine heroes to life,” will be held on June 16 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the KROKODIL Center.
On Thursday and Friday, the DKC ticket office will serve as the festival ticket office.
All daytime and evening programs scheduled for Saturday and Sunday will proceed as planned, taking place in front of the Museum of Yugoslavia.
