On Saturday, December 24, a New Year’s Charity Day will be traditionally organized in KROKODIL’s Center (Karađorđeva 43, entrance from Male stepenice street) in order to support little heroes hospitalized at the Institute of Neonatology and Institute for Mother and Child, and with your contributions help them to get things they need the most. By doing so, we will also help all those who take care of them.

Take part in a charity race and listen to a lecture after it while eating a warm soup, treat someone to a charity lunch or simply come for coffee and cakes and enjoy a mini concert, a raffle and an auction of artworks by artists who have exhibited in KROKODIL’s Center.

This year we are collecting money for 50 pillows and 50 bed covers, as well as for 5 infusion pumps and for two patient monitors. We invite you to join us on December 24, or to participate in our humanitarian campaign simply by donating.

New Year’s Charity Day will start at 10 a.m. in front of KROKODIL’s Centre, at the beginning of Branko’s Bridge, with a charity race (2.5k, 5k, 10k) in the form of a training session. We invite those who also want to run but cannot be physically present, to join us by running remotely! Remote participation is possible by running the length for which you have registered, at the location of your choice during the time of the race, and sending us afterwards your photo with a medal and a screenshot of the route you have run. You will receive the start package shortly before the race at your home address, after registration and payment of the registration fee. 

Runners will be able to change and leave their clothes in KROKODIL’s Center. At the same location, after the race, at 12 p.m., Ivan Čurović, main coach at AK RUNNING and professor at the University of Central Lancashire, will give a lecture.

Charity lunch will be served at 1 p.m., after which a mini concert will follow from 2 p.m. when we will also enjoy coffee and cakes. You will be able to take part in the auction of artworks by Jelena Milićević and other artists who have exhibited in KROKODIL’s Centre but also to join in a game of raffle. Bring a book that you have read and exchange it for another one, on a 1:1 basis.

Recommended minimal registration fee/donation for the charity race is 2500 RSD and for the charity lunch 2000 RSD.

Each runner will receive a start package which will contain a T-shirt, start number and a specially designed medal. Start packages pick-up will be organized in KROKODIL’s Centre  on December 23 from 12 to 8 p.m. Runners will also have the opportunity to run their races, and prepare for them, while listening to audiobooks – “Komo” by Srđan Valjarević, read by actor Nebojša Glogovac and “Ponavljanje” by Ivica Đikić, read by actor Goran Bogdan. Everyone who applies and pays a registration fee will get free access to these two audiobooks for a period from December 15 to December 24. Registration link for the race is HERE. 

We draw your attention to the fact that participating in the race does not necessarily imply participation in the lunch, and vice-versa. That is why we invite you who are planning to take part in the charity run to also stay for the lunch and the accompanying program. Likewise, we encourage those of you who are planning to join us for the lunch to also take part in one of the three races and test your strength first and foremost with yourself. The charity lunch includes a main course with meat and vegetarian options, a dessert and a drink.

The organizers of the race are: Association for Recreation and Fitness of Belgrade, AK RUNNING and Association KROKODIL.
