MARCH IN KROKODIL CENTER: SWEDEN IN RESIDENCE

After Greece, Ireland, Austria and other countries, during the month of March, the KROKODIL Center will be the central place of a program entitled Sweden in Residence, which gathers Swedish literature, cuisine and culture in one space. The program consists of four different and unique events scheduled on four Saturdays in March. During the entirety of the month, a specially created Eat&Read menu*, made out of traditional Swedish dishes that can only be tasted in a few selected restaurants even in Sweden, will be available for order in KROKODIL Center as well as through Wolt and Donesi delivery apps.

The event that will open the program, entitled Eat&Talk #7: Sweden is scheduled for March 6th, at 11am, and will feature a conversation between theater director Anja Suša and KROKODIL Association’s Milica Joksimović about the writings of three contemporary Swedish authors – Lena Andersson, Sara Stridsberg and Agnes Lidbeck. During the event, the audience will have the opportunity to satisfy not only literary, but also culinary appetites with specialties form the vegan buffet prepared by the cook at the Embassy of Sweden in Serbia, Lars Ekberg. The ambassador of Sweden in Serbia, His Excellency Jan Lundin will also participate in the event.

On March 13th at 10 am, Lars Ekberg will host a culinary workshop and prepare some of the more traditional Swedish sweets, such as the semla. The following Saturday, on March 20th at 10am, KROKODIL Center will organize a morning of coffee and Swedish cakes in celebration of the Spring Equinox, when Mr. Joachim Waern, the deputy to the ambassador, will join us for fika. The last event of the Sweden in Residence program is the Stockholm Stories film screening, scheduled for March 27th at 6pm. This adaptation from director Karin Fahlén follows five residents of Stockholm whose paths cross on a rainy November day.

Because of the epidemiological measures, the number of guests on each event is limited. Reservations are mandatory, via our email at offive@krokodil.rs

*The Eat&Read menu:
