Bekim Sejranović was born in Brčko, in 1972. He finished the Naval school and he studied Croatistics in Rijeka. Since 1993, he lives in Oslo, where he finished the Faculty of History and Philosophy and received a magisterium in South Slavic literature. He edited and translated tan anthology of Norwegian short stories Veliki pusti krajolik (Big Barren Landscape). He is the author of a study Modernizam u romanu Isušena kaljuža Janka Polića Kamova (Modernism in the Novel Reclaimed Quagmires by Janko Polić Kamov), a book of short stories Fasung (2002) and a novel Nigdje, niotkuda (Nowhere, from nowhere, 2008), for which he received the award “Meša Selimović” for the best novel from Croatia, Serbia, BiH and Montenegro. Recently he published his latest novel Ljepši kraj (More Beautiful Ending). He lives and works on the route Oslo-Hvar.
