The Conspirators took Vienna by storm!

The Conspirators took Vienna by storm!

The play draws from the literary works included in the Zajednička čitaonica (The Common Library) edition, weaving together a harmonious blend of voices. It highlights the enduring bonds created through shared language and literary heritage in the Ex-Yu region, suggesting that these connections are more robust than the divisive forces that have shaped recent history.

Moreover, the play also poignantly addresses the persistent issue of fascism, exploring its resurgence in various facets of modern society. Through a compelling narrative and artistic expression, it uncovers the deep connections between historical and current political dynamics, urging a reevaluation of the widespread reluctance to confront certain rising fascist tendencies.

In that way The Conspirators are relevant in a broader European context also, and the success they achieved in Vienna, in front of an international audience, only proves that.

We hope that this will be a starting point for even more performances in other European countries.

The play The Conspirators is part of the Common Library project initiated and implemented by KROKODIL Association and supported by CCFD – Terre Solidaire.
Coproduction: My Balkans.
